PSM Core Reconnect

Your 12 week Pilates, core, and strength training program that takes you
from early postpartum and beyond.

I've been there.

Let's just say, the birth of my first son was everything but what I was expecting.
The recovery was long and painful.
I had little guidance from my doctor.
I was in pain for the the first 14 months postpartum.

Everything you're feeling and experiencing, I've been there.

I created Pilates Strong Moms Core Reconnect program because this is the step by step approach I wish I had the mom-brain power to provide for myself after my first born.

Whether you've had a vaginal or Ceasarean birth, your body needs to heal,
and you deserve movement that is made just for Moms.

FAQs

What is the time commitment?

I get it, your coffee is always cold and you're 2 steps behind the next poo-explosion. Classes are between 30-45min in length, and you can structure your week and recovery times to best suit your needs. The only thing I ask for is to keep consistency if you want to see and feel changes.

Do I need any equipment?

Yes, you'll want to have some small equipment to help you build muscle and add intensity. Don't forget, your baby will also be making gains and your muscles need to keep up. You need a small Pilates/squishy ball, small weights/ toning balls, medium-heavy weights, a circle band, and a resistance band that you can anchor safely to a crib or couch leg. If you don't have these things yet, that's ok! It's better to start and improvise than wait for the perfect time - there is never a perfect time!

I just gave birth, when can I start?

You can start Core Reconnect around 4 weeks postpartum, but follow your gut and check with your health care provider. If you've had a Ceasarean birth, you'll want to make sure your scar has healed first.

I've never done Pilates, will I be able to do this?

100 percent! Think of Pilates as feel good moves that get sneak up on you in difficulty and tone you body in places you didn't know existed.

Is this program safe for pelvic organ prolapse?

Absolutely! All the exercises are suitable for pelvic organ prolapse. Of course, prolapse is so individual so you should check with your physical therapist to ensure they’re safe for your specific grade and situation.

Can I redo my favourite classes?

Oh course! You're welcome to redo any of the classes over and over again. My only recommendation would be not to procrastinate progressing, like don't stick to Week 1 | Day 1 for an entire month, if you want to see progress. Remember muscles like memory, but also a challenge.
